Bodhi Tree
At the heart of SMU's city campus stands a venerable bodhi tree, believed to be over a century old. in 2002, when SMU beganconstructing its campus, the tree was protected and reintegrated into the current Campus Green landscape. It is now an iconic focal point of the campus.
97.5° Arc x 8
Gifted by Dato'Kho Hui Meng, the 97.5° Arc x 8 steel sculpture is part of French artist Bernar Venet's Arc series of sculptures. The rust colour of the sculpture juxtaposes against the lush greenery at SMU Campus Green, reflecting the interconnected relationship between nature and humanity.
SMU Connexion
The SMU Connexion is Singapore's first large-scale, mass-engineered timber developmentin the city. This on-site net-zero energy building comprises 8,600 square metres of active learning space and a "Greenhouse" that is home to entrepreneurs, innovators and researchers.
The Pearl
The Kwa Geok Choo Law Library is named in memory of late Madam Kwa Geok Choo, wife of Singapore's founding Prime Minister, honouring her life and contributions to the legal profession. Fondly known as "The Pearl", the lustrousdome glows at night, serving as a beacon for respect, truth and justice for the society.
